KryptoPhone is a fixed telephone service that cannot be intercepted.
Telephone companies keep records of telephone call data (calling number and number called) in their archives for over 10 years. KrytoPhone doesn't transit through the operators public telephone switches but uses Internet connection through Wifi or 3g/Umts encrypting the content safely without leaving any trace or the possibility of recording any of the data (the caller or the called).
Call tapping for investigation purposes and for commercial competition / illegal industrial espionage, leads to 5% of the worlds population to be listened to during private conversations.
KryptoPhone also codifies the audio of the call so that it is NOT comprehensible to anybody but to the direct party involved using certified and universally safe algorithms (TLS and SRTP). The privacy of the phone call is further guaranteed by using an encrypted technical infrastructure physically allocated in nations where telephone interception and tapping is not permitted by law and built so that any possible internal or external tampering is impossible.

How it works
The fixed telephon needs to be simply connected to an Internet connection using the network cable supplied o through WiFi (additional option).
After only a few minutes it will be automatically ready to call any other Kryptotel line, fixed mobile or KryptoComputer.
The non traceable encrypted calls can only be performed by subscribers of Kryptotel's telephones because the parties involved must be able to code and decode the received and dialed call.
If the receiving party does not have an encrypted Kryptotel line, encrypted calls are still possible with our fantastic "Black Out" function, that allows our users to dial/call regular telephone numbers:
-the call is encrypted and safe up to the interconnection point with the regular telephone network. From that point on the calling number is randomly set with a different number for each phone call.
By continously and automatically changing the calling telephone number it will be impossible for anybody to tap or intercept your telephone, because as said earlier, for every call you will be assigned a different telephone number. Furthermore this number is not linked with the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) therefore it will be absolutely impossible to trace your identity.
-In order to have an even higher level of security the calls enter the regular telephone network from more than a 100 different interconnection points scattered in all 5 continents together with millions of other calls.
Attention: The "Black out" function does not exclude the possibility of intercepting the number you are calling. In this case the call could be listened to, even though your identity will still not be traceable. This is why we call this function a "Black Out" it guarantees excellent privacy if you are the target of the interception, but it cannot guarantee the absolute privacy that Kryptotel's services offer when both parties are using Kryptotel's encrypted telephone lines.
Our cost of calling regular telephone numbers is 30% cheaper than current costs applied by Skype.
In order to call a regular telephone number all you need to do is enter the international country code for the number before dialing the actual number (ex: 001-USA; 0039-Italy; 0044-UK). Example for the USA dial 001 then 3477276828 (Kryptotel's office number).
Every telephone has a 6 digit Kryptotel network number and all of Kryptotel's subscribers can call each other by using the corresponding numbers.

- A Voip Snom telephone with TLS and SRTP enabled (we suggest Snom model 821);
- Internet connection with at least 30kb real bandwidth;

Security
Kryptotel has decided to operate with "open source" encryption systems that have been tested and verified by third parties and approved, through verification studies, as being safe.
The content of the calls are encrypted by using standard protocols TLS and SRTP.
The Voip clients that are used are not owned by Kryptotel but are released by third parties that have enabled the above encryption protocols consequently giving our clients total guarantee.
The servers that manage the calls are encrypted with 3 levels of encryption, in order to guarantee the impossibility of tampering even by Kryptotel's own personnel;
The telephones switches do not record any information of the communication (neither the caller nor the called);
It is possible to allow full verification of the complex structure to appointed third party technicians.
Comparison
KryptoPhone highly differentiates itself from any other encrypted telephone service:
- all competition encrypted telephones, due to technology that has been exceeded by Kryptotel, produce a considerable delay in the communication between the caller and the called, causing a 1 to 2 second gap and waiting period from the moment a sentence is said to when it is heard. This renders conversations very difficult and annoying as it is enables sentences to overlap each other between the caller and the called. KryptoPhone DOES not cause any delay and those who try it never turn back!
- Kryptotel does not use the operators regular public switches but Kryptotel's servers that are reached through the Internet with an encrypted connection. No record or trace of the caller or the called and guaranteed 100% impossibility for anybody to intercept/tap/listen to the conversations.

Anonymity
It is not necessary to provide any personal data, unless a specific invoice is required. Only an email address where the configuration instructions and password will be sent (best for your privacy that it is created for the occasion).
It is possible to receive invoices from another company not connectable with Kryptotel.
It is possible to pay in various ways even anonymously if desired.
Add-On:
- Voicemail - Your Kryptotel number comes pre configured with voicemail. Secured from any illegal access with a redundant double encryption, Aes 256 and Serpent. The algorithms provide a level of privacy that is comparable to military grade security.
By calling the toll free 444 number you can access your voicemail and listen to your inbox messages, customize your messages and configure the pin code to further secure the service.
We recommend the configuration of the pin code to avoid unauthorized or illegal access.
- Jolly Function - This function allows you choose which ID you want to display on the recipients phone. This special function, that was only available to very few telecommunication experts, is now available to Kryptotel's customers.
By Calling the toll free 448 number our Ivr system will guide you through the 2 simple steps to using the Jolly function. You will be asked to digit on your phone the caller ID you would like to display on the recipients phone and the number you would like to call. The system will immediately make the call and you will be charged the standard tariffs.
By selecting your preferred caller id you can maintain the highest level of privacy in every situation!
- Credit Check - By calling the toll free 445 number you can check your residual credit. Avoid being without credit when you need it the most!
The number is free, you can call it as many times as you want.
- Set your preferred language - By calling the toll free 446 number you can set your preferred language for all interactive voice messages (press 1 to set it to English).

Service activation is very simple:
1) Activate for FREE a Kryptotel number. This will be your personal number, You will be able to make calls or be called.
2) Recharge the credit on the phone you wish you to use to make the calls. (minimum rechargeable amount 5 USD);
Phones that are used only for incoming calls do not need to have available credit.
3) Configure your phone following simple instructions;
4) Repeat steps 1 and 2 for more phones if necessary;
